Hyundai India has teased the 2017 Verna mid-sized sedan with an image that reveals the front face of the car. A new micro-site has already gone live for prospective buyers and fans of the upcoming Verna model. They can now register at this site and get more information about the car.

The 2017 Verna is expected to get new alloy wheels and a longer wheelbase along with a more aggressive and butch design. There should be LED daytime running lights (DRLs) along with a hexagonal grille and touchscreen infotainment unit. The latest teaser shows that the LED daytime running lights, round fog lamps and hexagonal grille are confirmed and these are similar to the Hyundai Accent sold in the North American market rather than the Verna sold in the Chinese market.

The new Verna will have increased length and width and should also come with a dual tone black and beige interior layout which is similar to the Accent sold in North America.The list of features should be at par with segment rivals like the Honda City and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. There should be a 7 inch touch screen unit with navigation, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, multi-information display, cruise control, chunky steering wheel with leather wrapping, automatic Clean Air climate control, dual airbags and ABS as standard throughout the entire product range, curtain and side airbags, rear parking sensors and camera and auto-dimming mirrors. There should also be HID headlamps with auto functions, 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels for the top end model and LED tail lamps.

The new Verna is expected to arrive by late August or early September in the Indian market. It is also expected to be priced around Rs.7.5 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the entry-level variant.
