The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift is yet to be launched officially in the Indian market. Reports indicate a 2018 Auto Expo launch for the eagerly awaited hatchback. In the meantime, Maruti has already commenced bookings officially for the car with INR 11, 000 as an initial payment. The 2018 Swift will have four trims, namely the Z+, V, Z and L and there will be 12 variants in all. The 6 colour options include Prime Lucent Orange (new), Prime Midnight Blue, SLD Fire Red, PRL Arctic White, Met Silky Silver and Met Magma Grey.
As per reports, the 2018 Swift could have a starting price of around INR 4.9 lakhs (ex-showroom). According to the latest reports, even before its launch, the 2018 Swift comes with a waiting period ranging between 6-8 weeks. The actual waiting period depends on factors like the variant and colour option chosen by the buyer. The 2018 Swift will take on the likes of the Nissan Micra, Hyundai Grand i10, Ford Figo and Honda Brio in its segment.

The 2018 Swift will be more feature packed than before and will have the SmartPlay infotainment unit from Maruti Suzuki in tandem with a 7-inch touch screen setup. There will be integrated LED daytime running lights to add to the projector headlamps and LED tail lights. There will also be diamond cut alloy wheels in tandem with a new bumper and front grille. There will also be Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility for the car. Safety features will include brake assist, ISOFIX child safety seat mounts, dual airbags and ABS with EBD.
The 2018 Swift will come with the 1.3 litre DDiS 190 diesel engine and 1.2 litre VVT K12 petrol engine. There will also be 5-speed manual and AMT options available for the 2018 Swift.
