The 2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class facelift has been shown officially and will be premiering globally at this year’s Geneva Motor Show. The front bumper will be redesigned and there will be a three-part chrome strip/silver trim strip/chrome plated trim strip. There will be new Multi-Beam LED headlights and a redesigned bumper and LED tail lights with the signature C-shaped element. There will be a new diamond radiator grille and the AMG front bumper along with a brand new rear diffuser.
The new C-Class is inspired by the interiors of the S-Class, particularly when it comes to the 12.3 inch HD virtual instrument cluster which is optional. One can also pick the central 10.25 inch display unit that comes with the COMAND infotainment system. The multi-functional leather steering wheel is brand new with touch-sensitive controls to boot. There are new interior colours like black/magma grey and saddle brown (AMG option).
A major attraction is the Energizing Comfort Control feature (optional) which combines the lighting, infotainment system, seats and climate control for offering personalized and wellness linked experiences as per the buyer’s preferences. There will be semi-autonomous driving abilities, map-based data for assistance and navigation in tandem with safety features like Emergency Stop and Active Lane Change Assist.
The 2018 C-Class is expected to go on sale sometime in 2018 for the European markets. The United States launch will also take place later in the year.
