BMW India has officially shown the brand new, third generation X3 model at the 2018 Auto Expo. The global debut took place for the X3 in May 2017 and this first launched in the year 2003. The new generation version is packed with more features and comes in a bigger size. The X3 will launch sometime later this year in the country and BMW India has not revealed any engine options as of yet.
The headlamps have been revamped while the front grille has also been redesigned accordingly. There is a larger front bumper along with bigger air intakes. There are two diesel and three petrol engine options available for the car globally. There are full LED 3D tail lights and full LED headlamps. The car also gets 18-inch wheels along with hexagonal LED fog lamps. The top-end variant comes with 21 inch wheels.
There is a massive touch screen infotainment unit for the new generation X3 complete with gesture control and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Rear and front legroom is generous and ambient lighting is also available. There is a heads-up display unit with readouts. The XDrive30i in the diesel trim makes 188 BHP and the XDrive30d makes 262 BHP. The XDrive30i makes 248 BHP while the XDrive20i makes 181 BHP. All these engines are paired to an 8-speed Steptronic transmission unit.
