The exterior in the facelift version is pretty much similar and not much has been changed. The new 911 Turbo and Turbo S Cabriolet come with a somewhat similar design as the newest Carrera models. The front has been redesigned and it features new headlamps with a projector light and also daytime LED running lights. Also presented is a new central air dam and bigger air intakes with darkish chrome accents. Side mounted air blades and double fillets are present in the Turbo and Turbo S Cabriolet. Apart from the revised tail lamps at the rear end, it broadly remains unchanged.

Cruising in comfort

The interior cabin of the new 911 range includes characteristics like Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) which interestingly, lets you increase the car height by 10mm (apt feature for Indian roads), roll compensation, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB). Apart from this, the interiors will come equipped with 7” multi touch screens which can take handwritten inputs, connectivity with smartphone platform with the help of Porsche Communication Management (PCM) software, 20 inch twin spoke wheels different for all models, GT steering wheel and leather-trimmed sports seats made from premium leather.

Powertrain options

Porsche 911 Turbo is driven by a 3.8L twin-turbocharged flat-six engine which generates a power of 533bhp and the Turbo S is powered by a 3.8L twin-turbocharged flat-six engine which produces a power of 572bhp. The Carrera sisters too are powered by the same flat-six twin-turbo element which shakes out 370bhp and 420bhp in the Carrera Cabriolet and Carrera S respectively. All Porsche models which come to India are typically tuned to Porsche’s PDK dual clutch 7-speed automatic gearbox.
