The latest version of the Civic continues to be a low-slung and sporty model with a low bonnet line and impeccable detailing. There are fluid body lines all across the car and the rear has a distinctive design. The fast-back rear zone has been designed immaculately and this conceals a more conventional boot lid. The interiors of the new Civic also feel sportier with low seating and neatly sculpted seating. The new Civic comes with a more conventional dashboard and a big touch screen for the central console. The infotainment system may be upgraded along with the cabin before the car launches in India. The rear may be tweaked to offer more legroom as well.
This will help the car compete better with rivals like the Skoda Octavia. The Honda Civic will launch with the naturally aspirated 1.8 litre petrol engine in the country and there may be a diesel option available as well. There will also be an i-DTEC 1.6 litre engine that will be used for the Civic and CR-V alike. There could also be automatic transmission options available for the car.
