The show stopper at the Hyundai stall was the Hyundai N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo.
This car showcased at the Expo represents the high-performance sub-brand of Hyundai the ‘N’ in celebration of Hyundai’s 50th anniversary which comes in 2017. Hyundai claims the ‘N’ brand characterizes ‘the most thrilling winding road fun’.
Why the Vision 2025?
Hyundai has three visions, that they strive to achieve with the Gran Turismo
Vision 1: High-Performance the eco-friendly way
N 2025 engine is based on the first mass produced Hyundai hydrogen fuel cell developed in 2013, generating an impressive 871 bhp. The car extracts power from regenerating braking as well. Coupled with an ultra light body, the power to weight ratio stands at 896 bhp/ ton.
Vision 2: The ultimate future design to boost the high-performance technology
The design is inspired by aeronautics, which gives the car that futuristic space age design which also aids in the performance by improved aerodynamics to reduce drag. The car also retains the Hyundai trademark hexagonal design grill, spotted on regular Hyundai road cars.
Vision 3: Special sound to awake all your senses
The car’s power plant orchestrates a deep growl that excites the auto-enthusiasts. The sound generated by the turbines spinning @2,00,000 rpm coupled with the unique frequency of fuel-cell stacks, the purging sound from the hydrogen cooling system and the high pitched in wheel motor all combine to produce a race car growl, creating music to ears.
Equipped with all futuristic technology, the Hyundai N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo represents the strength of N-sporting division of Hyundai.
