Hyundai India has successfully sold in excess of 25000 units of the Verna within just 6 months from the car’s launch. The new Verna has already won multiple laurels and total sales volumes stand at 25800 units as per the company’s statement. The Verna has also notched up sales volumes of 11, 800 units in multiple global markets. The Verna was launched on the 22nd of August, 2017. The Verna has also surpassed the Honda City in terms of sales figures with volumes of 4601 units as compared to the City’s 3968 units.
The Verna launched initially with 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines which are mated to automatic and manual transmission units. There is a petrol 1.4-litre version which has also been introduced in the Indian market. The Hyundai Verna comes with several features like projector fog lamps, LED daytime running lights, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, 7-inch touch screen AVN that is compatible with Android Auto, MirrorLink and Apple CarPlay and LED tail lamp graphics. The front seats are ventilated while there is the Smart Trunk feature. There are standard ISOFIX child seat mounts, dual front airbags and ABS for all trims.
