There is a petrol four cylinder engine option along with a 3.3 litre petrol V6 GT version that dishes out 365 hp. This can touch 100 kilometres per hour in only 4.7 seconds. The Kia Stinger is positioned as the flagship offering in the global product range from Kia. This may have been a premium offering in the Indian market but Kia may not introduce the Stinger here since it may not have much viability in terms of sales volumes.
The Stinger sports sedan would have been introduced as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) and once taxes would have been imposed on the model, the prices may have surpassed Rs. 70 lakhs as per estimates. This would have made it a little non-viable in the Indian market for Kia as a brand. Also, the brand wishes to focus more on cars for the mass market in India as of now.
