Launch Alert: 2017 BMW 5 Series

Category :
Total: 6118 .

The sixth generation 5-Series will be paving its way for the new tech-laden 2017 seventh generation 5-Series soon in India. Till the fifth generation, the 5-Series was the sportiest sedan in its class. However, BMW consciously toned down the car to a softer, heavier and cushier one in its sixth-gen avatar; the seventh gen 5-Series is here to reclaim its sporty reputation. The 2017 BMW comes with loads of tech and gizmos and is a massive leap from the model it replaces. It’s more agile, sporty and taut than the outgoing model. The car will come in both petrol and diesel variants as the 530i and the 530d respectively; the 530d will get the M-Sport package as standard.

The new car is a symphony of sporty and classy elements - the new 5-Series resembles the 7-series from many angles and BMW is slowly blurring the lines between the 5 and 7 series. This feeling gets stronger as you get inside - the new 5-Series gets a higher level of luxury than before, gorgeous applications of wood and metal trim, craftily stitched hides and loads of tech making it feel at home even in a sci-fi movie.

Launch Alert: Mercedes Benz E Class LWB

The car gets the new iDrive 6.0 with a 10.3-inch center display. The rotary controller with a touchpad, steering wheel controls, voice recognition, center stack buttons and knobs ensures that the driver gets full and easy access to the advanced infotainment system. The gesture control spotted on the latest 7-Series has now made its way into the new 5-Series.

BMW 5 Series Rear Facing

BMW’s arch rival Mercedes-Benz has already launched their Long Wheel Base version of the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class in India. The extra legroom makes it a game-changer in the premium luxury sedan segment offering the ultimate back seat comfort and convenience close to the bigger S-Class. It will be interesting how the Bavarian Motor Works will be pulling out a dual against the mighty LWB Mercedes in the coming times.
