Kwid - AMT
SUVs, automatic transmission and value for money are the most trending words in the Indian automotive industry and Renault is trying to pack all these in their upcoming Kwid AMT. The Kwid has been the most successful car model for the French car maker in India and it made Renault a significant volume player in the Indian car market.

No wonder, Renault is spending most of their attention in keeping the Kwid up to date and in line with the expectations of the car buying public. Renault recently plonked a bigger 1.0-litre engine in the Kwid and started selling it along with the existing 0.8-litre sibling, increasing the options available for the customers. Renault is all to set to bring an automatic transmission variant on their Kwid 1.0 L.

More on Renault Kwid
The Easy-R AMT on the Kwid will come with a drive, neutral and reverse mode. The car will also get a crawl function, which keeps the car moving (crawl) even without any throttle inputs. Renault pricing for the car would definitely be ultra-competitive, considering the popularity of Alto K10 AGS, competition from the Tata Nano (though the car is a segment below) and the imminent launch of the capable Hyundai Eon AT.
