Lexus has officially unveiled the teaser video for its UX crossover which is expected to get a global debut at the Geneva Motor Show in 2018. The UX 250h hybrid model will be shown on the 6th of March at the event and this could probably be in the F-Sport avatar. The video shows the single LED tail lamp which is wide and attractive. The design could be quite similar to the concept model that was shown at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. This includes the aggressively styled bumper, signature spindle grille from Lexus and the LED headlights. There could also be flared wheel arches along with distinctly designed alloy wheels.
The interiors are expected to be highly luxurious while there could be beefier tyres on offer. The powertrain options are expected to be revealed at the global debut of the Lexus UX although it will come in UX 200, 250 and 250h versions. The Lexus UX will first launch in the United States as per reports where it will take on rivals like the BMW X1, Audi Q3 and Mercedes-Benz GLA among others. Lexus may think of launching this car in the Indian market where it might find more takers amongst luxury crossover enthusiasts.
In case it does come to India, the Lexus UX will probably be positioned below the Lexus NX300h.
