The Mahindra Bolero will now come with airbags and ABS. The Bolero is the only model from Mahindra & Mahindra that does not get these features for its variants according to Managing Director Dr. Pawan Goenka who stated that the company is working on introducing the same for the SUV. As per new emission and safety regulations, all Mahindra cars are ready with the exception of the Bolero.
All cars manufactured in India from July 2019 will have to come with features like speed alert systems, reverse parking sensors, manual override for central locking, seat-belt reminders and airbags. The Bolero currently has the rear wiper and washer, driver information display, keyless entry, second-row central armrest, Bluetooth and MP3 player and wood finished central bezel. The Bolero has a regular variant which gets the 2.5-litre diesel mill while there is also the popular sub-4m ‘Power+’ variant which comes with a 1.5-litre diesel engine.
