Mahindra & Mahindra has finally introduced the facelifted Scorpio SUV in the Indian market. The eagerly awaited Scorpio SUV comes with several exterior and interior upgrades in tandem with increased power and torque. This mid-life upgrade comes with a 2.2 litre mHawk diesel engine which dishes out 140 BHP and 330 Nm. The power and torque figures have increased by 20 hp and 40 Nm in comparison to the previous model. However, this upgrade is only available for the S7 and S11 variants of the Scorpio. The latter also gets a 4WD option. The m2DICR 2.5 litre diesel engine is also used for the entry-level trim. This makes 75 BHP. The mHawk 2.2 litre diesel engine also retains the 120 BHP and 280 Nm tune state for lower trims.
There are 6-speed manual and 5-speed manual transmission options on offer. The Scorpio S3 2.5 L Manual 2WD is priced at INR 9,96, 926 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The S5 2.2 L 120 HP 2WD and S7 2.2 L 120 HP 2WD are priced at INR 11, 61, 575 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and INR 12, 69, 122 (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. The S7 2.2 L 140 HP 2WD and S11 2.2 L 140 HP 2WD are priced at INR 12, 99, 122 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and INR 14, 78, 905 (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. The S11 2.2 L 140 HP 4WD is priced at INR 16, 01, 253 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The front fascia sports revamped a new grille with a distinctive toothed design in tandem with redesigned housing for the fog lamps. The fog lamps are now circular in shape and come embellished with chrome bezels. There is the air intake complete with horizontal slats and integrated LED turn signals for the ORVMs. There are brand new five spoke alloy wheels as well along with red lens LED tail lights. The number plate zone gets a chrome applique overhaul while there is also a new aeroblade wiper at the rear. The rear bumper footstep has also been redesigned while there is a new skid plate too.

There is a sunglass holder mounted on the roof along with seats in faux leather. Faux leather is also used to cover the gear lever and steering wheel. There is a slot for mobiles along with larger cubbyholes for more space inside. New features include a reverse parking camera, 1-touch indicator for lane changes, dynamic assist and auto window roll up. Mahindra & Mahindra has retained the earlier 6-inch touch screen infotainment unit for the Scorpio.
