A brief preview- The Mahindra XUV Aero
The much researched, intensely studied and designed futuristic, coupe-styled, concept vehicle the Mahindra XUV Aero is unwrapped and is to make its debut launch in the Auto Expo 2016. Mahindra is the first Indian automaker to launch a crossover SUV coupe model in the mass-appealing, SUV segment.
The specialty design of the vehicle is such that the vehicle’s composure and styling is made in India, by the in-house designers of Mahindra with adequate inputs from the Italian design firm, Pininfarina, which was recently acquired by Mahindra. If the vehicle piques consumer interest, the encouraging feedback and reviews would propel the mass production of this vehicle and with a more formal launch happening later; it will hit the Indian roads at a later time.
The Mahindra XUV Aero will definitely be a trailblazer of sorts in this niche segment and is a guaranteed head turner.
XUV Aero’s Exteriors
The prototype Mahindra XUV Aero’s principal design cues are picked from the Mahindra XUV500 SUV and the same can be seen in the front fascia, headlamps placement, the hood and the neat sculpting of the vehicle’s body.
The new features in the Mahindra XUV Aero would be the LED DRLs, a wider grille, the lower posturing, a much more sporty profile, hood vents and bigger alloy rims. Also the sloping roofline, LED tail lamps and diffuser makes for a vibrant design that is not previously seen in any of Mahindra's vehicle ensemble. The Mahindra XUV Aero coupé-SUV crossover is a 4-door vehicle with a difference, with one door being a secede door so as to facilitate easier in and out access to the cabin.
XUV Aero's Interiors

XUV Aero’s Pricing and Competition
When the Mahindra XUV Aero propels into production, it is already aimed to be a trendier, upmarket vehicle and will definitely be priced above the XUV 500 SUV. The proposed competitive pricing would somewhere be in the range of INR 15.00 lakh. And owing to the fact that it is entering a niche segment which is the coupé-SUV segment in India and at present only high-end automobile brands like Mercedes and BMW offer similar makes and models like the GLE Coupé and X6. And these in all likelihood could be considered its competitors.
The prototype of the Mahindra XUV Aero is just unwrapped and will debut in the Auto Expo 2016.
