The new 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has been spotted testing prior to the expected debut at the Auto Expo 2018. The new Ertiga will come with new interiors and exteriors alike. The new Ertiga has been internally codenamed as the YHA and may come with a 9 seater layout as well. The 2018 Ertiga could get new projector headlamps and the HEARTECT platform which is also used for the 2018 Swift, Ignis and Baleno models. The new Ertiga may be bigger than the previous model as per reports.
There will be the same powertrain options for the 2018 Ertiga according to reports. There may be the 1.4 litre K-Series VVT petrol engine and DDiS 1.3 litre diesel engine used for the car. The 2018 Ertiga, however, could get the 1.5 litre diesel engine as a replacement for the present 1.3 litre mill. There will also be a 5-speed manual transmission unit for the car although Maruti Suzuki has not officially confirmed an automatic transmission option.

The new Ertiga may have similar interiors as that of the Dzire with the touch screen infotainment unit, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility and other features. There will be ABS with EBD and dual airbags along with other safety features. The 2018 Ertiga could be priced between INR 7-11 lakhs (ex-showroom) and will take on rivals like the Renault Lodgy and Mahindra’s U321 MPV in the Indian market.
