The Maruti Suzuki Celerio X has been officially launched in the Indian market by India’s largest carmaker. Maruti Suzuki has made the Celerio X more rugged in comparison to the regular Celerio model. The Celerio X is priced between Rs. 4.57-5.42 lakhs (ex-showroom) and cosmetic additions include X-themed front grille graphics, blacked out B-pillar finishing and body cladding for the sides and rear. There are four variants of the Celerio X which include VXI, ZXI, VXI (O) and ZXI (O).
The variants get AMT and manual transmission options. The Celerio X is sportier and more rugged in comparison to the regular Celerio. The Celerio X comes with a petrol three cylinder 998 cc engine that dishes out 68 hp and 90 Nm like the regular Celerio model. The engine is paired with 5-speed manual transmission unit while a 5-speed AMT option is present as well.
According to the Senior Executive Director of Sales & Marketing at Maruti Suzuki India, R S Kalsi, the Celerio has attained huge success in the Indian market and the Celerio X should definitely increase the car’s overall popularity amongst young buyers. The Maruti Suzuki Celerio X comes with a bolder and more aggressive design which should certainly appeal to a youthful customer base.
