Maruti Suzuki India has officially confirmed a hike in vehicle prices across its entire lineup by anywhere between Rs. 1, 700 and Rs. 17, 000. Prices will increase on the ex-showroom, Delhi prices of Maruti Suzuki cars in India. The company sells numerous cars across segments right from the Alto 800 (Rs. 2,45 lakhs) to the S-Cross premium crossover (Rs. 11.29 lakhs).
The hike in prices will be effective from the 10th of January, 2018 as per the company’s official statement. The Alto will see an increase in prices to the tune of Rs. 3, 500-5, 400 based on the model that is selected. The WagonR and Celerio, two successful hatchbacks, will have prices going up by close to Rs. 4, 400 as per reports. The Ignis will be more expensive to the tune of Rs. 3, 800-10, 200 while the Baleno will cost Rs. 1, 700-9, 000 more depending on the variant that one chooses.

The Vitara Brezza will also be costlier to the tune of Rs. 4, 000. Many companies like Skoda, Hyundai India, Tata Motors and Isuzu have also confirmed increases in vehicle prices with effect from January, 2018. Other automobile companies like Honda and Mahindra & Mahindra are expected to officially announce price hikes in 1-2 weeks according to reports.
