Mercedes-Benz has previously launched the CLA and GLA models in December, 2016 and July, 2017, respectively. The company has now launched the new AMG 45 4MATIC variants for the cars in the Indian market. The cars have the same petrol 2 litre engine which is a four cylinder turbocharged mill dishing out 381 PS and 475 Nm. There is the DCT AMG Speedshift 7-speed automatic transmission unit used for the cars with the 4MATIC AWD setup being a standard feature as well.

The CLA 45 4MATIC can touch 100 kilometres per hour in only 4.2 seconds while the GLA 45 4MATIC can touch 100 kilometres per hour in 4.5 seconds. Both cars have top speeds of 250 kilometres per hour. The CLA 45 4MATIC and GLA 45 come with features like LED headlamps, front splitter insert, A-wing design for the front apron, twin louvres for the AMG radiator grille, matte titanium grey finish for the front splitter insert, AMG instrument console with fresh numerals, AMG radiator lip, rear apron with diffuser, AMG 18-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels and black/red AMG design trim.
The cars also get AERO editions which have matt graphite grey AMG sports stripes, yellow decals and the AMG Night Package. The special edition models come with yellow highlights for the diffuser, side panels and rear bumper in addition to the ORVM housing. The CLA 45 4MATIC comes at Rs. 75.20 lakhs (ex-showroom) and the GLA 45 comes at Rs. 77.85 lakhs (ex-showroom). The AERO editions of the CLA 45 and GLA 45 are priced at Rs. 77.69 lakhs (ex-showroom) and Rs. 80.67 lakhs (ex-showroom) respectively.
