The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift is now ready to make the debut at the Auto Expo 2018. It has been one of the most anticipated launches. The third generation swift is becoming very popular and would have a modern design like the Baleno with revised interiors. It would also become a huge success with the lightweight platform and the amazing price.
The Baleno RS would have an all-new 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine that would put out about 102 PS and about 150 Nm of torque. This is much more than the older models with the 4-cylinder 1.2-litre petrol engine. The Maruti Suzuki Swift Sport will have a powerful 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The car has been on sale internationally and would come to India later in the year. There has been an accessory customization programme called the i-Create that has been launched with the Vitara Brezza. Though various accessories are available outside the dealership, they are not generally advised. The warranty would not also become void when the accessories are fitted.
The company had been actively participating in the motorsport events like the Dakshin dare, the Desert Storm, the Raid de Himalaya and the other TSD events where cars like the Vitara Brezza and the S-Cross can be seen. The new Swift would also be featured in the events such as the INRC. It would be a great candidate and would also be the rival of cars like the Volkswagen Polo.
The price gap would reduce drastically between the petrol and the diesel models and there would be a rise in the sales of the petrol models over the diesel counterparts. The petrol version is a smooth and silent unit and would make sense or those who would not travel more than 30,000 - 40,000 km in a year.
The Swift would come in an auto four-wheel drive system and would additional torque to the rear wheels when required with a viscous coupling.
