The PSA Group owned Peugeot brand will soon launch three new products for the Indian market as per reports. These will be the SC1, SC2 and SC3 as per reports and these are codenames for a new hatchback, compact sedan and compact SUV respectively. These cars may first arrive in India before being exported to other African and ASEAN countries thereafter. The Peugeot brand name is likely to be used for selling these three cars in India. They will be the first batch of models from the company which is likely to commence sales from the year 2020 as indicated by the parent PSA Group earlier in 2017.
The Group has also entered into a tie-up with the C.K. Birla Group and Avtec Limited for production and sale of its cars and components by the year 2020. The company has not revealed any other details about the cars till now. Peugeot was already thinking about launching a possible rival for the hot selling Maruti Swift by the year 2020. This could be the new generation version of the 208 which will be displayed globally in 2018 as per reports.
