The Range Rover family will launch the new Range Rover Velar which they claim to be one of the most stunning SUVs in the world of automobile industry. Originally, the vehicle was scheduled to be launched in India in the next year. But exclusive news reveals that this extremely attractive SUV will come to the country in the festive season this year. This exciting news, naturally, caused a great impact in to the minds of car-lovers all across the country. The bookings for the Range Rover Velar have already started. However, an official price announcement for the new SUV will take place on September 21 with an official market launch of the product thereafter. It will come in three variants – S, SE and HSE with both petrol and diesel engine options.

Power and Performance:
The diesel engine of Range Rover Velar will be available in two power options. There will be a 3 litres V6 engine that will deliver a maximum power output of 296 bhp with an impressive torque of 700 Nm. However, the company believes that the other version of the vehicle will be more popular in India. The latter variant will be of 2 litres having 4 cylinder Ingenium units that will efficiently produce 177 bhp and 430 Nm of peak power. Both these engines will be connected to an 8-speed gearbox and supported by all-wheel drive (AWD) System.
However, for the Indian buyers, the Range Rover will have only one petrol option of 2 litres motor making 246 bhp and 265 Nm of torque.

The new Range Rover has a roofline with a sporty appearance. Although it has a shorter front overhang, the rear is a bit longer that helps in accentuating the length of the car. It features LED headlamps that uses laser technology, day time running light pattern, large wheels of 20 inches that fills up the large wheel arches and dual tone color options. The large cross mesh style grille gives a classy look to the overall appearance of the car. The angular vented bumper and elongated side slit design elements run from the fender to the front doors. The floating roof design and the bonnet make the car all the more attractive. It has flush mounted door handles that can automatically retract at speeds up to 8 kmph and even on 4 mm of ice on them.
The new Range Rover Velar has an impressive interior design. It has two large touch screens, one for infotainment and the other one for functions such as climate control, seat heating and cooling and the controls for the terrain response which are centrally mounted in to the dashboard. It gets the standard leather interior. Other features includes media interface, reversing camera displays and navigation.
