Much like the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show where it was the showstopper, the Honda Sports EV Concept has been attracting everyone at the 2018 Auto Expo where it has been displayed by the company. This signals Honda’s keen interest in developing more attractive and feature-packed EVs in the future and shares its AI functionalities with the Urban EV Concept. While Honda has not confirmed any official specs or probable launches for the Sports EV Concept, the Urban EV should make its way into production soon before a 2019 launch in Europe.
The Sports EV gets a retro design with round LED headlamps and square shaped tail lights at the back. The coupe-like design has been accentuated by the long hood and the sloping roof. In fact, the design harks back to former Honda classic coupes like the S600 and S800. What’s interesting here is that the AI technology in the car will be mapping driver emotions and reactions and there could be more intuitive usage of voice commands. This means that Honda will be ushering in AI for its future models sooner than expected.
