Arguably the most ambitious concept from Tata Motors, the Tamo Racemo, had been globally unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2017. The Tamo Racemo has now been debuted at the Auto Expo 2018. The car makes use of a new MOFlex MMS modular platform which may be used for creating SUVs, hatchbacks and sedans in the future. This is a two-seater sports car which is under 4 metres in terms of length.
There is a mid-mounted 1.2-litre Revotron engine which is also used for the Tigor and Tiago. However, this intercooled four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine has been tuned for churning out 190 PS and 210 Nm. The car delivers power to the rear wheels with the automated 6-speed transmission or AMT setup and there are steering wheel paddle shifters.
Tata Motors has claimed that the Tamo Racemo can touch 100 kilometres per hour in less than 6 seconds. If it finally launches in the Indian market, this could become one of the most competitively priced and attractive sports cars in the country.
