An overview of the Tata Bolt Sport
The popular Indian carmaker, Tata Motors, has announced a sportier version of the existing Bolt series. The changes are evident in a more powered engine and some obvious design changes in its exteriors and overall to showcase the sporty effect, this hatchback has a more athletic stance.
The new Tata Bolt Sport first debuted at the Geneva Motor Show and then debuted in India via the Auto Show 2016.
Tata Bolt is a first-gen Tata vehicle, when introduced was considered would be the next successor or would replace the Tata Vista, as the design parameters for both the cars are almost the same. And it is also the first vehicle from the Tata Group that is termed as a performance brand model, where in this sporty vehicle offers power-packed performance.

The Tata Bolt Sport is a good first-timer in terms of being a sportier model which has the right blend of style, elegance, performance, function and is also a treat to the eye. Therefore, the design language of this vehicle definitely keeps its sportiness intact. The vehicle wholesomely envelops the new design idea with the neat curves in the front facade that stretches to the bonnet and the hood and then culminates in the rear end with a neat masculine finish. The vehicle logo is very distinctively placed and the shape of the fog lights and the headlamps has a different effect.

The interiors of the Tata Bolt Sport are not over-the-top nor is it too simple and basic. There is a neat balance that has been arrived at and that is one of its welcoming highlights. And therefore, the interiors have a very inviting aura about it. The ergonomically fitted and perfectly aligned seats that take the shape of the body definitely ensure a great level of comfort when seated and comes in handy when on the road. The seats come with headrests and this helps improve safety and convenience too. The latest infotainment system and the complementing black and red leather upholstery are some of its other highlights.

Tata Bolt Sport Engine Specs and Transmissions
The Tata Bolt Sport comes in a couple models with two engine trims, the petrol and diesel variant. The Petrol engine is a turbocharged Revotron 1.2 liter engine that meets BSIV standards and the emissions would definitely be a lot cleaner and this is a big plus when it comes to this engine.

On the other hand, for the diesel version, it is a Quadrajet, 1248cc, 4-cylinder, 1.3-litre diesel engine, which has also been customized to suit BSIV emission guidelines. The Tata Bolt Sport also comes in a multi-drive option, which is Eco, City and Sport options.
Tata Bolt Sport Pricing and Competition
The immediate competitors to the Tata Bolt Sport in the growing hatchback segment in the country would be the VW Polo GT, Punto Abarth, the soon-to-launch Active i20 and Datsun Redi GO. The Tata Bolt Sport pricing is expected to be in the range of INR 5.5 to 8 lakhs.
The Nissan GT-R will be showcased in the Auto Expo 2016.
