Tata Motors has unveiled the H5X SUV concept at the Auto Expo 2018. This SUV will be included in the Tata Motors portfolio in 2018 and the production version will be the first product from the company to sport the Impact Design 2.0 design philosophy. The H5X grabs attention with its huge 22-inch wheels and massive wheel arches along with a bold front fascia, sleek LED headlights and a new humanity line which is a signature offering linking the grille and headlights.
The front bumper is attractive and the fog lamp enclosure gets the tri-arrow pattern. There are special light drawing lines for the sides of the car along with beefy cladding on the base of the car doors. The concept has a sloping roofline at the rear while the glasshouse narrows down right from the C-pillar. It again integrates with the windscreen at the rear. The wheel arches neatly integrate into the rear bumper and the wraparound tail lights get a smoked effect. There is intricate bumper detailing as well. The interiors have a clean design and there is a touch screen infotainment unit and digital console along with two individual rear seats.
However, the final production model could get three rows of seating. The SUV will make use of the L550 platform from Land Rover and will have 5 and 7 seater versions as per reports. There will be a MultiJet II diesel engine that is also used in the Jeep Compass and this will make 140 hp and 170 hp for the 5 and 7 seater models respectively.
