Tata Motors has shown its premium 45X hatchback at the Auto Expo 2018. This concept model has drawn immense attention and will compete with the Hyundai Elite i20 and Maruti Suzuki Baleno among other rivals. The 45X has a bold stance and comes with an alluring design language that will be seen in the next generation of passenger cars from Tata Motors. There are sleek lights in front along with the humanity line which connects the grille and lights. The bumpers are also detailed impeccably in front.

The styling package has several details including a side ridge that flows from the A-pillar and kinks upwards while it flows to the rear. There are upswept and darkened elements beneath the windows on the sides along with skirts positioned below the doors. Tata Motors has stated that cars showing the Impact Design 2.0 philosophy will have wheel sizes that are the best in the segment. The tyres seem to be 18-inch ones and there are neat wheel arches, a sharp windscreen rake at the rear, edgy rear doors and blackened roof spoiler which flows from the contrasting roof. There is a nice character line flowing to the tail lamps.

The cabin has not been shown till now by Tata Motors. However, there should be a major focus on good connectivity and practicality above all else. The production version is expected to be the first Tata Motors car to use the AMP platform from the company and could be available for sale sometime next year.
