The Tata Nexon AMT version may be shown at the 2018 Auto Expo as per reports but ahead of the official debut, a few details about the car has been leaked through various sources. The Nexon AMT may be introduced in the mid-range XTA and XZA grades only. It will be available for both diesel and petrol engines and may get the new creep functionality which will facilitate easier driving in a variety of traffic conditions. The same 1.2 litre Revotron petrol and 1.5 litre Revotorq diesel engines will be paired to this 6-speed AMT unit as per reports.

The Tata Nexon AMT will come with the 6.5 inch ConnectNext touch screen system and projector headlamps complete with Feline-Eye DRLs (daytime running lights). There will be keyless entry, an 8-speaker sound system, engine push-start button, rear and front armrest, voice alerts, a rear view camera, dual tone roof color and USB charger among other features. The Tata Nexon AMT could be priced between Rs. 7.75-10 lakhs (ex-showroom) in the country and will take on the likes of the Ford EcoSport AT and other rivals in this segment.
