April 2016 - New Car Launch
With large car sales volume in 2015, carmakers are hoping to see that the rollercoaster ride continues in 2016 too so that the same momentum of car sales can be maintained.
To prevent decline in sales, automakers are launching cars that are suitable to Indian buyers and tailor-made to suit Indian roads. Evidently, this supposition paid off as cars launched over the last few months, broke records with desirable number of bookings happening in the first few days after their launch.
The auto sector in India is growing and most likely it will keep growing and see a boom as the country is set to becoming the lead manufacturing and export hub for automobiles.
In April alone, many cars were released and set to hit the roads, adding to new releases were updated models also seeing a release.

The utility vehicle maker, Mahindra is gearing up to launch their all new compact SUV - the NuvoSport. There are already two other offerings of similar stature by the same company namely TUV300 and KUV100. The NuvoSport priced at INR 6.5 lakhs is said to replace the Mahindra Quanto in the Indian market. It is powered by 1.5L diesel engine powered by 100bhp and a torque of 240Nm. The SUV is based on the same platform as the new- generation Scorpio.

According to Mahindra, the name of the car means "New Generation SUV" and the target audience is the untapped segment, the youth of the country.
Over time, Mahindra has come to be known as a SUV specialist. With a range of cars that include everything from a practical, utility-driven and rugged vehicle to a modern and elegant car, the manufacturer makes sure there’s a car for every customer out there.
The Tiago, previously christened as the Zica, is a much awaited hatchback which launched in in India in the first week of April 2016. Its offering price of tag is INR 3.5 lakhs-5.5 lakhs. The car is open to bookings with a token payment of INR 10,000.

The Tiago will come with a 1.2L three-cylinder Revotron petrol engine powered by 83.8bhp @ 6000rpm and a torque of 114Nm @ 3500rpm. The diesel version come with the same specs except its capacity will be a 1.0L engine with 6bhp and power of 4000rpm and a torque of 1800-3000rpm. A five-speed manual gearbox comes with both versions.
The Bentley Bentayga is one of the most expensive SUVs in the world and also the fastest launched by the British luxury carmaker in India. Being one of the first SUVs made by the company, Bentley has left no stone unturned in manufacturing what best can be offered. The company has announced that there are going to be only 3000 units produced this year. This INR 3.8 crores car has already been fully-booked and if you are looking at purchasing this beauty, then you will have to wait at least a year.
The Bentayga comes with a twin charged 6.0L W12 engines that produces 600bhp and a maximum torque of 900Nm. It is comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The new vehicle can touch a speed of 0-100kmph in just n unbelievable 4.1 seconds. The top speed of the Bentayga is 301kmph – which no doubt, makes this SUV the most powerful and fastest one out there!
Hyundai Creta Petrol Automatic
The overwhelmingly popular Hyundai Creta commands a huge portion of the sales, with the increase in demand and the success of its previous model, the South Korean automaker decided to launch the new Creta, the petrol Automatic version in April 2016. This is priced at INR 12.86 lakhs approximately.
Like the diesel, the Creta petrol version also comes with a 1.6L engine that produces 122bhp power and a maximum torque of 154NM and a 60speed torque converter transmission. Being the only petrol automatic crossover in the segment, this can definitely be a game changer for Hyundai. Especially, for customers who are looking for comfortable and convenient drive within the city.
