- Tata Neo- Tata has brought out the electric version of the Nano under the name of Tata Neo. Set to be launched in 2018 the car will have 2 different version. One is the fleet or the taxi version which will be fitted with a 48V motor and the other is a passenger with a 72V motor. The car will be fitted with a super-polymer lithium battery and is expected to run for about 160 km after fully charged. This car will surely prove to be a competitor for the currently available Mahindra e2o in terms of performance and price.
- Nissan Note E-Power-The Nissan Note is a one of a kind range-extender hybrid car which is electrically driven but its battery will get charged using a small 1,198cc petrol engine rather than a fixed charging socket. This hatchback is expected to give a performance equal to a 2.0 litre turbo petrol engine and claims to give a mileage equivalent to 40 kpl.
- Tata Tigor- Giving tough competition to its rival Mahindra in the sphere of electric car, Tata Motors is set to launch a number of electric vehicles in 2018. The electric version of the Tata Tigor is guaranteed to take a place in the wish list of many. This car will surely prove to be a competitor for the currently available Mahindra eVerito in terms of performance and price. The car will be powered by an electric motor that develops a power of 30kW and is expected to run for up to 150 km after being fully charged.
- Tata Tiago- Another head turner that is set to be launched this year is the electric version of Tata Tiago. Tata is on a roll with its latest and the electric version of this hatchback has already grabbed eyeballs. The car will be powered by a liquid-cooled 85kW electric drive motor which gives a torque of 200Nm of torque. It can reach a speed of 100 kph within 11 seconds and give a top speed of 135kph. The Indian version of the car will be fitted motor that develops a power of 30kW and is expected to run for up to 150 km after being fully charged.
