Toyota is all set to bring out a special edition of the Fortuner model in Argentina and have coined it with the name Diamond. The model will be an upgraded version of the Toyota SW4 and will be priced at 1,223,700 Argentine Peso. The question whether India can expect the Fortuner Edition is still unanswered however the India spec Fortuner exists with a 2.7-litre petrol engine which is paired to either to a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Under the hood the diamond edition Fortuner will get a 2.8-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that produces a power of 174 bhp at 3400 rpm and a maximum torque of 420 Nm at 1400-2600 rpm. The engine will be mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission or 6-speed automatic gearbox. The visual upgrades are the highlights of the car. On the exterior front the car gets new 18-inch alloy wheels, darkened chrome accents on the grille, black bumper guard with a faux skid plate, a diamond badge on the tailgate and more. Inside the cabin as well the car maintains a premium look and feel with features like tan leather upholstered seats, 10-speaker JBL speaker, white and gold finished key fob and more.
