The Toyota Yaris Ativ has been spotted testing on Indian roads, giving rise to immense speculation about the car being officially debuted at the 2018 Auto Expo and launched sometime soon this year. The Yaris Ativ has been globally launched in 2017 but India has not received this model yet. The Yaris Ativ is also called the Vios in several global markets. The new sedan will have projector headlamps complete with LED light guides and LED daytime running lights. There will be LED tail lamps in tandem with 16-inch alloy wheels and a shark fin antenna. There may be a dual-tone theme for the interiors along with the engine start/stop button, keyless entry, a rear armrest, automatic climate control, rear AC vents and a touch screen infotainment system.
The Yaris Ativ comes with 133 mm of ground clearance and gets a 2550 mm wheelbase. There could be the 1.5 litre Dual VVT-i petrol engine used for the car or the Dual VVT-i petrol 1.2 litre engine used in the Thai-spec model that makes 86 PS and 108 Nm. The 1.5 litre engine dishes out 105 BHP and 140 Nm. Reports suggest that a diesel model may also be available for the car.
