The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza was conceptualized and launch in India in 2016. This sub compact SUV is one of a kind and has been voted the Indian Car of the Year in 2017 by experienced auto journalists. Expanding their genre of SUV, Maruti will be soon the Vitara Compact in India with spy cams capturing the car during test drives and will provide tough competition to the like of Renault Captur and Hyundai Creta. Previously Maruti has sold other Vitara models like the Grand Vitara however the models were discontinued by 2015 due to low popularity. The Vitara Compact is very much inspired by the Brezza. However there are few tweaks in the styling and dimensions. On the exterior front the car gets new features and retention of a few others. Some of the note-worthy features include 5-spoke alloy wheels, two-piece tail lamps, Turquoise metallic shade, roof rails, high-mounted stop light and a rear windshield wiper. Under the hood the car gets 1.6-litre four-cylinder diesel engine generating 118 bhp of power and 320 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
