2018 Hyundai Elite i20 - Variants Explained

The facelifted 2018 Hyundai Elite i20 was launched at the 2018 Auto Expo and is priced from Rs. 5.35 lakhs (ex-showroom) onwards with prices going up to Rs. 9.15 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the top-end variant. The 2018 Hyundai Elite i20 gets minor design upgrades along with several new features that have been sourced from the Hyundai Verna. There are 5 variants in all, namely the Magna Executive, Era, Asta, Sportz and Asta (O).

2018 Hyundai i20-Variants Explained

Era- This variant is priced between Rs.5.34-6.73 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the petrol and diesel versions. This gets black ORVMs and door handles and does not have wheel covers. This variant comes with a black front grille, front power windows, body coloured rear bumpers, R14 steel wheels, adjustable headrest for the front seat, ABS, dual airbags, central locking and seatbelt with pretensioners. There is no tilt adjustable steering and body coloured ORVMs and door handles. There is no music system as well which you should get fitted into this variant.

Magna Executive- This variant is priced between Rs.5.99-7.31 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the petrol and diesel versions. Key features include full wheel covers, a high gloss front grille, body colored door handles and mirrors, front armrest, front speaker with rear speakers and tweeter, 2-DIN audio setup, USB ports and AUX, driver side switch illumination and all power windows, electrically adjustable ORVMs, rear AC vents and a cooled glovebox. This variant is priced between Rs.58000 to 65000 more than the base Era variant.

Sportz- This is one variant that gets better features and is priced between Rs.6.59-7.83 lakhs (ex-showroom). Key features include LED daytime running lights, front fog lamps, rear defogger with timer, ORVM integrated indicators, sunglass holder, rear parcel tray, front and rear tweeters, height adjustable driver’s seat, steering mounted controls, Bluetooth connectivity, Iblue app for audio control, auto folding ORVMs, front map lamp, keyless entry and more. This is costlier by the Magna Executive variants by Rs.60,000 and Rs. 52,000 for the petrol and diesel versions respectively.

Asta- This variant offers good value for money and is priced between Rs.7.11-8.36 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the petrol and diesel versions. The Asta (Dual Tone) is also priced between Rs. 7.36-8.60 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the petrol and diesel versions respectively. Key features include alloy wheels, reverse parking camera and sensors, black roof (dual tone trims), sliding armrest, orange/red interior inserts, 7-inch IPS display cum navigation unit, adjustable rear headrest (dual tone trims), Android Auto, MirrorLink, Apple CarPlay, Arkamys speakers, automatic climate control, cluster ionizers and voice recognition. This variant is costlier by Rs. 52-53,000 than the Sportz variants.

Asta (O) -This variant is priced between Rs.7.90-9.15 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the petrol and diesel versions. Key features include ISOFIX child seat mounts, curtain and side airbags, auto headlamps, height adjustable seat belts for passengers and drivers, LED daytime running lights, chrome external door handles, projector headlights with cornering, clutch lock, leather wrapped gear knob and steering wheel, auto unlocking, parking sensor display, Auto Link, push button start/stop and rear armrest with cup holder. This variant is costlier than the Asta variant by around Rs.79,000.
