You may have already heard about Isuzu skipping the 2018 Auto Expo. The carmaker has thus decided to make amends and has officially launched the 2018 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross adventure and lifestyle pick-up as they call it! The off-roader pick-up which has become quite popular amongst Indian customers, has launched in the Standard and High trims. These are priced at Rs. 14, 26, 241 (ex-showroom, Chennai) and Rs. 15, 76, 240 (ex-showroom, Chennai) respectively. This makes the car marginally more expensive than the previous version.
The design remains largely similar although there are a few smart tweaks like the introduction of LED daytime running lights instead of the previous fog lamps, the new chrome bumper, redesigned tail-gate, LED tail lights and side steps. Inside, the car looks different with the dual tone interior theme and the premium leather seats in black. The driver’s seat is 6-way adjustable now and there is a 2-DIN entertainment system complete with a rear view camera. There is also automatic cruise control which should make highway driving more pleasurable for drivers.
The new Ruby Red color option is a major attraction along with enhanced safety features like ABS, ESC and Traction Control among others. Other color options for the 2018 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross include Obsidian Grey, Splash White, Cosmic Black, Titanium Silver and Orchid Brown, all of which were available earlier. The 2.5 litre diesel engine is the same as the previous model and churns out 132 BHP and 320 Nm of peak torque. There is the same 5-speed manual transmission unit as before.
