Mitsubishi is planning to launch the brand new Outlander SUV next month according to reports. Bookings have already been opened to this effect. The new Outlander comes after the earlier version was discontinued in India due to poor sales volumes. This time too, the Outlander will not have a diesel version, something that can hurt sales figures, particularly since starting prices are expected to be upwards of INR 30 lakhs (ex-showroom) according to estimates.
There is only one fully-loaded petrol trim available for the Outlander and hence all features are standard for the SUV. These features include several driving modes, Super-All Wheel Control AWD, leather gear shift knob, leather seats, 6.1 inch touch screen infotainment unit, 710W sound system, dual zone climate control, 6-speed CVT unit, electric sunroof, electric parking brake, LED headlamps, tail lamps and fog lights along with daytime running lights and 16-inch alloy wheels.
There will also be ABS with EBD and 7 airbags in tandem with active stability control, hill-start assist and brake assist. The Outlander has a petrol MIVEC 2.4 litre mill that dishes out 164 BHP and 222 Nm of peak torque. The 7-seater SUV comes with several color options including Orient Red, Black Pearl, White Pearl, Cosmic Blue, White Solid, Titanium Grey and Cool Silver.
