Ford has already started accepting bookings for the Freestyle CUV (compact utility vehicle) and the car should be launched on 18th April 2018. The car got its global debut in January this year and the Freestyle will be positioned between the Figo hatchback and EcoSport compact SUV. The Ford Freestyle comes with a large headlamp and black bezels along with bumper inserts and a mesh grille.
There is underbody cladding and ORVMs along with black treatment. There are also LED tail lamps and 15-inch alloy wheels. There is a rear windshield wiper along with front and rear skid plates and rain sensing wipers. There are a floating touch screen system and the in-car SYNC 3 unit along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. The Freestyle also gets six airbags and automatic climate control in tandem with a reverse parking camera and sensors. The Ford Freestyle gets Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium+ variants which are based majorly on diesel and petrol engine options. There will be a total of 8 options available.
The brand new Dragon petrol three-cylinder 1.2-litre engine makes 95 BHP and 120 Nm. The 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel mill makes 99 BHP and 215 Nm. Both engines will be paired with 5-speed manual transmission units as standard. The pricing for the Ford Freestyle should start from around INR 6 lakhs (ex-showroom) and there will be 6 colour options available, namely Moondust Silver, White Gold, Canyon Ridge, Smoke Grey, Oxford White and Absolute Black.
