The Datsun Redi-Go AMT model has finally been launched in the Indian market at a compelling introductory price of Rs. 3.80 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it Rs. 22, 000 costlier in comparison to the regular version. Bookings have already started throughout the country and Datsun has claimed that this is the most feature packed AMT offering in this segment. Indeed, ground clearance is the best-in-class at 185 mm coupled with the best-in-class head room, boot space and cabin space. There is the Dual-Driving Mode which has automated and manual modes for up/down hill and city traffic conditions and the Rush Hour mode which has cruising abilities between 5-6 kmph and crawling functions.

The Datsun Redi-Go AMT will compete with the likes of the Maruti Alto K10 AGS and Renault Kwid AMT in this segment. The car uses the 1.0 litre three cylinder petrol engine that dishes out 68 BHP and 91 Nm. The car also gets features like Bluetooth connectivity, remote key and central locking and all-black interiors. The tall boy design also ensures more space in the rear. The colour options include Ruby Red, Lime Green, white, Grey and Silver. Hands-free calling and Bluetooth audio streaming are available for the T (O) and S variants of the Datsun Redi-Go AMT. According to the Managing Director at Nissan Motor India, Jerome Saigot, the Datsun Redi-Go Smart Drive Auto represents the ideal combination of best-in-class features with ample convenience and flexibility at an attractive introductory price.
