Mahindra is one of the leading automobile company in India which comes up with upgraded car model every year. The latest car in their long line up of launches is the facelifted version of the popular variant XUV500 which is due to hit the showrooms soon. Spy cams have captured numerous images of the car which is set to have a few major changes and upgrades and is expected to give cars like Renault Captur, Hyundai Creta and the Jeep compass a run for their money. Mahindra may also launch the new Rexton later this year which will be placed above the new XUV500.
The car will be equipped with a more powerful version of the 2.2-litre diesel motor which will generate 155hp of power at 3,750rpm and 360Nm of torque at 1,750-2,800rpm. The XUV500 G9 petrol AT variant will be equipped with a new 2.2-litre motor which will be mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox. The car claims a mileage of 15.4 kmpl. The standard variant of the car may generate a power of 140 bhp giving a mileage of 15.1 kmpl.
On the exterior front the updated XUV500 will come with a revised front fascia including new front bumper, headlamps and grille. Apart from this the car will also come with LED daytime running lamps, new alloy wheel design, placement of cladding on the doors, a new tailgate design, tail lamps with LED elements and more.
Coming to the interiors the facelifted XUV500 will be furnished in premium quality leather and soft-touch materials on the dash. The car will also get an updated infotainment system and a new smartwatch app under its BlueSense banner.
