The Ford EcoSport though made a name for itself in the market soon lost it to its rivals Maruti Vitara Brezza and the Tata Nexon. So Ford came up with an updated facelifted version of the EcoSport. The updates involved modifications of the exteriors as well as the interiors of the car. The new model of EcoSport comes in the high end variant – ‘S’ and contains the 1-litre EcoBoost engine of the Signature Edition. The car comes with a price tag which ranges from Rs 7.82-11.89 lakh.

The modifications in the design of the Ford EcoSport comes with the inclusion of new Ford family grille with large LED headlamps. The car has a new bumper and front and rear fog indicators. The 17 inch alloy wheels are new to the car. There is an option for dual tone exterior.
The Vitara Brezza on the other hand even with a simpleton design is more favoured by the Indian crowd because of its two box SUV appeal. The ground clearance of the car is also high – a 198mm.
The Tata Nexon with its coupe like styling has an appeal to the Indian customer pool. It has a number of design elements which also lure in potential buyers, such as - horizontal strip dividing the headlamp housing, contrast-coloured roof and ceramic finish around the headlamps, tail-lamps and fog lamps. It has a ground clearance of 200mm.

The interiors of the new Ford EcoSport comes with an all new cabin, new dashboard and seats. The SYNC3 Infotainment system is the new model’s attraction. Apart from that there are cruise control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, automatic headlamps and wipers, dual-USB ports, steering-mounted audio and trip controls, a rear camera and paddle shifters. The safety features of the car are also quite impressive. They include - six airbags and ABS with EBD, along with electronic stability control, traction control, hill-launch assist and emergency brake assist for the automatic variant.
