Amongst the 41 teams geared up to participate in the 2018 Rainforest Challenge, will be a first all women’s team too. This information came in along with the announcement of the dates of RFC India. The fifth edition of RFC India will start on 21st of July 2018 and end on 28th of July 2018. This extremely popular off-roading competition will continue for 8 days in the jungles of Goa.

Along with the first all women’s team, the competition will see 3 teams from Arunachal Pradesh, representing the North Eastern states for the first time in RFC. Whereas the maximum number of team participation came from Kerala, with 10 shortlisted teams joining the event. All these 41 teams will ride it out through 26 special stages designed for this challenge. Each stage will continue to grow tougher with every passing day.
Winner of RFC India will score a direct entry to the grand Rainforest Challenge which is to be held at the end of 2018, in Malaysia. And, they will also take home the prize money of $ 10,000.
Organiser of RFC India, Cougar Motorsport, is extremely happy with the stupendous response it has got from Indian participants. After announcing the registrations in February, they got all the slots filled within a remarkable 72 hours.
Adventure sports lovers may also look forward to the first Rainforest Trophy that will be held in Arunachal Pradesh through 16th October to 20th October. Cougar Motorsports will organise the event in association with Manabhum Offroaders Club of Arunachal which will not be a racing event. It will be developed in the obstacles and trails format.
