Ford India is expected to launch the Freestyle CUV as it has labelled the car, sometime in April 2018 as per reports. Before the launch, bookings will start on the 7th of the month as confirmed by the company. The Freestyle will be positioned between the Ford Figo hatchback and Ford EcoSport compact SUV. The Freestyle comes with a rugged crossover look courtesy the high ground clearance, big sweptback headlamps, bonnet and profile character lines, silver skid plate, roof rails, side body cladding, bumper inserts, black grille elements, underbody cladding and ORVMs.

The Titanium and Titanium+ variants will get the Active Rollover Prevention feature. This will automatically apply brakes in a selective manner to resist any chances of roll-over. There will be traction control and electronic stability control for the car as well. The car will have Titanium, Ambiente, Trend and Titanium+ variants. The 1.2-litre petrol engine will dish out 95 BHP and 120 Nm while the diesel 1.5-litre engine will churn out 99 BHP and 215 Nm of peak torque. Fuel economy figures are expected to be somewhere around 24.4 kmpl and 19 kmpl for the diesel and petrol engines respectively.

Dual airbags and ABS will be standard features while side and curtain airbags will be available for the Titanium+ top-end variant. The seat-belt reminder and reverse parking sensors will also be standard features while the Titanium variant will get features like push button start/stop, and automatic climate control. The touchscreen infotainment system, Bluetooth, navigation and USB features will be available right from the Trend variant while the Titanium+ variant will have extra features like SYNC 3, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and rain sensing wipers.
