With the growing number of Ford customers in India, the company has decided to train 1500 new technicians. These technicians will be fully equipped to take care of every problem or query that a Ford customer might walk in with.

This new trained technician count will bring up the number of Ford technicians to 2500 per year. Currently Ford India has 465 sales and service facilities that operate in 267 cities in India. This is a huge number which suggest steady growth of the company in Indian market. All these technicians will cater to various facilities across the country.
The new training facility has been opened in Chennai. This will be a most advanced facility that will help the technicians understand and apply new technologies. This is also the fourth training facility that Ford has opened in the country. The location of the new facility is at Ford’s Vehicle Assembly and Engine Plant in Chennai.
The training centre will have six class rooms. Each very well equipped to train the new batch. There will be studios for online training across 200 dealer technicians in various locations. Here the fresh batch of technicians will get intensive training on Ford’s current products as well as, new to launch products. The technologies that the company uses shall be a part of the training curriculum. Along with product information, accident repair will be a major subject of training. Body shop and paint repair will also be a part of accident repair training.
Executive Director, Marketing, Sales and Service of Ford India, Vinay Raina said that these trained technicians act as brand ambassadors of Ford and therefore, this is an extremely crucial training procedure. The experience that Ford looks to provide, along with these technicians, is a family like atmosphere for the customers.
