A teaser video of the new gen Volvo S60 sedan has been released by the company. The car is scheduled to be unveiled this year on the 20th of June. The unveiling will take place in Charleston, South Carolina, USA. There Volvo is opening up a new plant and this plant will be exclusively dedicated for the manufacturing of S60. This hints to the level of dedication and efficiency the company is putting in this new car. This probably will be the very first Volvo car to not come with a diesel variant. The only variants available will be petrol and hybrid. This car will also prove to be the very first Volvo to have the “Polestar Engineering” performance package. This package involves a number of edits for performance enhancement, such as - re-mapped ECU, higher spec suspension and brakes among others.

From the teaser video, details of the front fascia can be known. One can see that the front grille has a different shape from that of its predecessor. The grille comes with a Polestar logo as well to show that the car is a proud carrier of the 'Polestar Engineered' package. The Thor hammered LED design also act as an embellishment on the headlights. There comes a muscular bumper with the car. Also big air intakes come on two sides of it.
From the teaser video, however the rear of the car could not be viewed very well. But it would surely be a great spectacle. All of Volvo sedans usually are. With the top spec version of S60, one can expect the Polestar badge and good looking exhaust tips that would help discriminate between the higher and lower spec models. The engine of the Polestar Engineered S60 will produce a maximum output of 415 bhp and a peak torque of 670 Nm.
