Nowadays most of the upcoming cars, especially the compact SUVs is coming out in orange. The SUV is surely designed for a sporty drive and boldness is surely a factor and this is where orange comes in. The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza AMT is the latest one to have entered the market in the breezy Autumn Orange. Even Ford has done pretty much the same by debuting the EcoSport in Mars Red, which is actually orange. Even the Tata Nexon AAMT debuted in the Etn Orange. Even the Avventura from Fiat premiered in the same colour, though it does not fall in the category of subcompact SUVs. The Baleno premium hatchback, when it debuted in 2015, had the same colour as well. Even Maruti Suzuki has tried out shades of orange at times. Tango Orange coloured the Alto K1 which had arrived in 2010. Chromatic colours have nearly doubled over the last 2 years, according to the Senior Executive Director of the company, who says that customers are preferring these colours.
Ford, Tata and Honda agrees on the boldness of Orange
The Figo and the Figo Aspire brought to us by Ford called the colour Sparkling Gold. The EcoSport had surely lost the orange colour but has gone for a more reddish hue. The VP of Marketing from Ford India says that bright colours are chosen because they do stand out and help to communicate on the showroom floors. As these colours can excite people fast enough, they help in building an instant connection with the people. The Tata Tiago also had a similar colour when it had first been launched. Even the Honda Jazz, with its critic splendour, had debuted in the same hue.
Another brand - Hyundai, had recently offered a lot of this colour as well. The Hyundai i20 has gone through a facelift and it has been coloured in the Passion Orange. Another car from its fleet, the Verna of the latest generation has a similar bright colour - the Flame Orange. The Grand i10 is also being offered in this shade. The facelifted Creta features a new Tangerine Orange shade. Rakesh Srivastava, Hyundai's Director of Sales and Marketing, mentions that the young customers and Millennials prefer the more vibrant and contemporary colours over the conventional colours like Silver and White. If these colours continue to excite customers and create excitement in the market, these colours are sure to be experimented with.
The same goes with Renault, Jeep and Jaguar
Other brands like Renault also agrees with the fact. Renault Kwid also uses orange as accents and it is used as highlights on the Climber. The facelift of Duster was also launched in the Cayenne Orange and it is the same with the model Captur. The Jeep Compass Trailhawk would also be launched soon enough and it would also be featured in the Spitfire Orange. There are other SUVs as well like the Land Rover Discovery that had debuted globally in 2017 and the Evoque from Jaguar had also debuted in orange, showing that it is more of a global trend and is not just limited to Indian markets.
