US Postal Services have given 6 vehicle manufacturers the deal to build mail trucks for them. These car brands include the top brands like Mahindra and have been given the responsibility to design and dish out the trucks within a year from the contract. The Next Generation Delivery Vehicle (NGDV) prototype by Mahindra is now out for test drives with spy cams capturing images of the car. The truck is equipped with features like a push-button gear selector, push-button start, driver's airbag and more.
Coming to the engine the truck is likely to be fitted with a four-cylinder turbodiesel engine. One might even expect a fully electric version of the truck soon.
