Mahindra and Mahindra has some productive plans for the near future; hence, they have signed two MoU with the government of Maharashtra. This contract is mainly initiated in order to promote electric vehicles for shared mobility space in the state. Electric vehicles are to be emphasized more as per the company’s plan. The company with further invest Rs. 500 crore in the manufacturing of electric vehicle components at its Chakan Plant and deploy 1000 electric vehicles in the state in the next one year.
As per the first MoU, the popular and self-efficient automaker will offer 50 Mahindra e2O Plus electric cars on the Zoomcar platform and it aims for 100 EVs in next quarter. On the other hand, the 2nd MoU explains this initiative to explore a strategic alliance in order to enable Mahindra to deploy EVs over entire Maharashtra. The company has informed that the very first deployment of EVs which is an integral part of the MoU, will witness 25 e2oPlus vehicles ported on the Zoomcar platform in Mumbai on the auspicious occasion of World Environment Day. This imitative is indeed noble and has been quite in the news in the recent times.
To promote more of electric cars, as per the planning, both the company and the Government will work with various fleet partners, logistics companies, taxi aggregators amongst others in order to deploy 1,000 electric cars over the next one year. This initiative can fetch both the company huge productivity and the importance of electric vehicles will also be nurtured within this one year. The government of Maharashtra has assured the car makers with all kinds of support and this venture is bound to taste success. Mahindra is investing further in the next generation EV technology solutions and are actively engaging with the ecosystem stakeholders for promoting the need for eco friendly environment.
