The cabin of the upcoming Mahindra S201 compact SUV will be packed with features and will sport a contemporary design according to reports. Mahindra & Mahindra is already planning to launch the S201 soon in India and the car is being tested extensively here as well. This is based on the SsangYong Tivoli and will get a 6-inch touch screen infotainment system with AC vents that are vertically positioned. There will be a dual-tone dashboard on offer along with glossy black finishing for the air conditioning vents. There may also be a large sized climate control console and other car buttons in addition to two USB ports, AUX-IN and a 12V power socket.
The top-end S201 variant may get a three-spoke steering wheel with Bluetooth and audio controls and a twin-pot instrument console and central MID. There may also be a tilt adjust lever, engine start/stop button and cruise control. The S201 will have a 5-seater configuration and there will be black fabric upholstery inside. There will be a central armrest with sliding functions in faux leather and a storage area. The glossy black alloy wheels will enhance the sportiness quotient of the S201 in tandem with pull-type door handles, roof rails and horizontal LED tail lamps.
The car could have the G8 1.2 litre turbo petrol mill and a 1.5 litre diesel engine although a new 1.5 litre petrol engine and 1.6 litre diesel engine may also be introduced by Mahindra & Mahindra as per reports. There may be 5-speed AMT and manual transmission options on offer for the car.
