Mahindra is one of the leading automobile company in India which comes up with upgraded car model every year. The latest car in their long line up of launches is the facelifted version of the popular variant XUV500 which is due to hit the showrooms by April 2018. Spy cams have captured numerous images of the car which is set to have a few major changes and upgrades and is expected to give cars like Renault Captur, Hyundai Creta and the Jeep compass a run for their money. The car will be made available in 4 different trims namely W5, W7, W9 and W11. The price starts from about Rs 12.3 lakh for the lower W5 variant and goes higher up till Rs 18 lakh for the W11 variant.
The car will be equipped with a more powerful version of the 2.2-litre diesel motor which will generate 155hp of power at 3,750rpm and 360Nm of torque at 1,750-2,800rpm. The XUV500 petrol AT variant will be equipped with a new 2.2-litre motor which will be mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox. The car claims a mileage of 15.4 kmpl.
On the exterior front the updated XUV500 will come with a revised front fascia including new front bumper, headlamps and grille. Some of the noteworthy features of the car includes electric adjust for the driver’s seat, a sunroof, smartwatch connectivity, new 18-inch diamond-cut alloy rims, and an updated tailgate design and a more plush cabin. Apart from the already existing colours the XUV500 facelift comes in 2 new colours namely Crimson Red and Mystic Copper. Monthly bookings for the car have gone up from 30 units per dealership to 35 in urban areas and from 8 units to 15 in Tier II cities.
