According to reports, the Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe 4Matic+ model is expected to get its market launch on June 18th. The present generation S-Class Coupe will replace the CL-Class in the country and the S63 will be positioned beneath the S65 V12 which is the top-end offering from the brand. The mid-cycle facelift follows the upgrade to the regular S-Class sedan sometime back.

The two-door model comes with the hot-vee functionality for the engine along with twin-scroll technology. There is also the twin-turbo V8 4.0 litre mill which makes 612 PS and 900 Nm. There is a cylinder deactivation feature for greater efficiency along with an automatic 9-speed transmission unit. Four-wheel drive is available as a standard feature. 100 kmph can be achieved in only 3.5 seconds while the car can go up to 250 kmph.
This can be increased to 300 kmph with the AMG Driver’s Pack which is optional. There is a twin-touch screen system and AMG sports seats along with Nappa leather, AMG graphics and the AMG steering wheel. There is a Panamericana grille in front along with chiseled bumpers and larger intakes. There are rear quad-exhausts and 19-inch forged light alloy wheels.
The car will compete with the Bentley Continental GT, Rolls Royce Wraith and BMW M8 in India. Pricing is expected to be approximately Rs. 3 crore or upwards according to estimates.
